EDUCATION AS A PATH TO GROWTH

The Willamette Valley Wineries Association is a community dedicated to growth: in the vineyards, in winemaking, and in our community. We invite you to grow with us.

The WVWA believes the wine industry will reach its full potential when it represents everyone: from vineyard stewards to wine drinkers. We commit to advocating for diversity and inclusion within our workplaces, industries, and broader business community, in order to create a wine landscape that includes and empowers everyone.

FROM THE DEBI COUNCIL CHAIR

The WVWA is committed to strengthening our industry by making it more diverse, equitable, accessible and inclusive. This inaugural website was created to aid this journey, providing a series of resources—in several different formats and from a variety of perspectives—on how to incorporate diversity and inclusion into our community.

The DEBI website includes:

-- DEBI training schedules and opportunities
-- Resources for book clubs discussing DEBI topics
-- Lists of changemakers and influencers
-- A DEBI Business Diversity pledge which, when you become a signatory, indicates your commitment to expanding DEBI in our industry community.

Please visit the site regularly for updates as the conversation and our collection of resources grows. We hope it helps members become informed and empowered advocates for this work. Review the Pledge, become a signatory, sign up for training, and engage in the self-paced commitment so that—together—we can affect meaningful change in our industry.

Towards a more inclusive community,

Sincerely,
