#WVWINES

Between the breathless rush of harvest and the calm of Cellar Season, we welcome the festive energy of the holidays—and with them a chance to step back, appreciate the beauty and camaraderie around us, and give back to the communities we call home.

This year, The Giving Season is our gift to you. After a year full of hard choices and unexpected obstacles, we found ways to come together (even when physically miles or even time zones apart) to keep our community strong. Every step of the way, you were part of that community, and now is our chance to express our gratitude.

The Giving Season combines Wine Country Thanksgiving, Willamette Cares Food Share, and the holidays. Our wineries and wine country businesses have each selected a special gift for you, to show our appreciation for Willamette Valley wine lovers everywhere.

Please note that Oregon Governor Kate Brown has introduced new, statewide COVID-19 restrictions prohibiting on-premise consumption in tasting rooms, restaurants and bars between November 18 and December 3. This means our wineries will not be hosting in-person Thanksgiving events.

On November 25, Governor Kate Brown announced updated restrictions based on a new framework ranking counties from lower to extreme risk. Beginning December 3, in all Willamette Valley counties, outdoor on-site consumption will be allowed at a reduced capacity (maximum 50 people total, 6 in a group, and up to 2 households represented).

Learn more here.

The following wineries have provided the hours they will be open Thanksgiving Weekend (November 27–29) for to-go purchases and order pickup only. Please contact each winery for their specific details, and note that some wineries are offering curbside pickup by prior arrangement only.

SUPPORTING OREGON FOOD BANKS

In the tradition of Willamette Cares Food Share, our Giving Season celebration will include support for Oregon Food Banks. Together our participating wineries and wine country businesses donated $7,000 to the Oregon Food Bank Network, and many are continuing to make and accept donations. See all participants here.

Want to help? You can donate to the Oregon Food Banks directly by county. Mention “Willamette Cares” when you donate:

Stretch your legs and take in the fresh air at Knudsen Vineyards. During the statewide pause, join 2nd Generation Owner and Founding Partner, Page Knudsen Cowles, for a vigorous hike through the vineyard.

Suitable for couples and associated groups of up to five, this is a renewing exercise for anyone looking for relaxation and restoration in a peaceful Dundee Hills setting.

We’re all sharing a different Thanksgiving this year.

There is comfort in knowing we are all in this experience together although we may be apart.

While preparing and feasting this holiday, we’re pausing for a moment to celebrate the role wine plays in our collective nourishment.

Most associate wine merely with imbibing but some, like Eric Asimov, describe wine as nourishing for all that it brings in gathering us together, celebrating, dining, traveling, and building community. Wine is a part of our livelihoods and a powerful catalyst for so much good nourishment.

We applaud these sentiments today and encourage nourishment for yourself whether it be with wine, family, Zoom calls, a good book, friends, or the great outdoors - whatever brings you peace and gratitude.

Happy Thanksgiving and Sláinte!

Between the breathless rush of harvest and the calm of Cellar Season, we welcome the festive energy of the holidays - and with them a chance to step back, appreciate the beauty and camaraderie around us, and give back to the communities we call home.

In the tradition of the holidays, our fellow growers and vintners in the Willamette Valley have rallied together to ensure neighbors and Oregon families have food on their tables this season.

This year, Wine Country Thanksgiving and Willamette Cares Food Share united to create The Giving Season benefiting the Oregon Food Banks.

Fairsing Vineyard’s participation in The Giving Season includes a donation to the Oregon Food Bank Network. When shopping in our tasting room or stopping for curbside service, your own donation may be shared to support these efforts.

Although we’ve seen little of each other in person this year, our Fairsing friends and family have been essential in keeping us strong through a vintage marked by tough choices and unexpected obstacles.

To express our gratitude, and in celebration of The Giving Season, we extend to you savings on our acclaimed 2019 Rosé of Pinot Noir and other holiday selections (see link in bio). Review our flat rate shipping options for home delivery.

We look forward to raising a glass and sharing incredible views with you soon. Sláinte!
