Raptor Ridge makes vineyard designated wines from 4 of the Willamette Valley’s nested AVAs. We focus on one AVA each week over the next month with video interviews, photos and notes about each vineyard that comprises a 3-pack of wine we are selling from each sub-region.
We will cover 4-AVAs over the next month of shut-in time in order to take viewers on a virtual tour of Oregon wine country: Eola-Amity Hills, Yamhill-Carlton, McMinnville, and the Chehalem Mtns. We start in the south and work our way homeward to our Estate.
Interviews with each Vineyard Owner & Manager are focused on 3 things: The Soil, The Micro-climate, and the Culture or Philosophy of how we (together) approach managing the blocks. We hope to spend 5 to no more than 10 minutes with each Vineyard on a “zoom call” recorded video that gets posted on our website.
Here is some overview material and then a link to the first in the series, with Tim Ramey of Zenith vineyard.
