Belle Pente (bell-pont’) means “beautiful slope,” a perfect description for the 70-acre hillside vineyard and winery in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Owned and operated by Brian and Jill O’Donnell, Belle Pente produces artisanal Oregon Pinot noir, Pinot gris and Chardonnay mostly sourced from the Willamette’s Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Most of these vineyards are more than 20 years old, and all are located in Yamhill County, most within a five-mile radius of the winery. Winemaker Brian O’Donnell guides us through an impressive array of wines that reflect a commitment to limited intervention winemaking practices and environmental stewardship.
