McMenamins Edgefield Winery
Since it’s opening in 1990, the Edgefield Winery has ripened into one of the Northwest’s leading wineries, with more than a dozen releases and popular cellar and tasting room. The seeds of enthusiasm for a McMenamins winery were sown by the company’s co-founder and visionary, Mike McMenamin, motivated by his love of wine and a belief that a winery could supply the company’s many pubs with the bulk of their wine stock.
In 1991, Edgefield Winery celebrated its first bottling. Quantities of both the red and white wines were also kegged for distribution to the McMenamins pubs and hotels.
Today, the McMenamins’ Winery tasting room is a relaxing spot for guests of Edgefield’s historic hotel as well as day-trippers to the Columbia Gorge and travelers stopping by on their way to and from Portland. Guests can chose from a wide range of wines, including Pinot Noir, Riesling, chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Syrah, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon and more. The Winery hosts free, live music seven nights a week, with the performances moving outdoors during warm weather. Our knowledgeable staff can suggest a wine for you or perhaps point you toward a flight of six of our wines. Come to Edgefield to see for yourself.
