Take a Behind the Scenes Tour during harvest to see the journey from grape to bottle of wine. Step beyond the tasting room and into the cellar to sample our handcrafted wines and learn about the winemaking process.
Depending on when you tour the winery, you might see the grapes arrive and how the fruit is sorted and destemmed. Our cellar crew could be punching down the bubbling bins and tanks, filled with fermenting fruit. One of our presses could be humming as it gently squeezes juice from the grapes. The crew could be cleaning out freshly drained tanks or prepping barrels for wine.
If your timing is right, you might be offered a taste of the fresh grapes or juice.
Regardless of what’s happening while you’re here, by the end of the tour you’ll leave knowing the basics on how wine is made at Dobbes Family Estate.
