The last Saturday in February is now celebrated worldwide as Open That Bottle Night. Give yourself permission to open that most treasured bottle of wine in your cellar. Share the story of that wine with a group of wine lovers who have similarly precious wines to share with you. This night was founded in 2000 by Wall Street Journal Wine writers Dorothy Gaiter and her husband John Brecher as a way to encourage their readers to open those special bottles of wine before they head over the hill. What we love are the stories of these wines – almost – as much as the wines themselves. Preparing a 4 course meal to pair with these special wines is Chef Ryan Childs formerly of Chez Panisse. Ryan has recently moved back to Portland and is creating a menu worthy of these very fine wines. In addition to everyone's special bottles, Winderlea will provide a sneak preview of our estate 2012 wines to pair with dinner.
